Position Summary:
PanCare of Florida is seeking a compassionate and experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive, patient-centered women’s healthcare services in a collaborative and supportive clinical environment focused on improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner will provide preventive care, reproductive and gynecological services, wellness screenings, contraceptive counseling, patient education, and management of acute and chronic women’s health conditions across the lifespan. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, compassionate, and committed to delivering high-quality care while building trusted relationships with patients.
Responsibilities:
- Practice within the scopeof practiceas defined by Florida law, national certification standards, and organizational clinical protocols.
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and development of differential diagnoses.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures to assess patient conditions.
- Develop, implement, and manage personalized care plans for patients, including preventive care, treatment, and follow-up.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications, ensuring proper documentation and patient education on their use.
- Provide management of acute and chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and common infections.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health promotion, and self-management techniques for chronic conditions.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
- Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive records for all patientsin accordance withlegal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Ensure that patient confidentiality ismaintainedin compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior healthcare staff, such as nurses or medical students.
- Lead or contribute to quality improvement initiatives, patient care protocols, and educational programs within the practice.
- Adhere toestablishedclinical protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education tomaintainlicensure and certifications.
- Complete clinical documentation, order entry, and encounter closure within organizationaltimeframesand quality standards.
- Contribute to audits, compliance checks, and internal reviews to ensure the highest quality of careand patient safety standards.
- Coordinate patient follow-up care, referrals, interdisciplinary communication, and related documentation to support continuity of care.
- Maintain all required licensure,certificationsand continuingeducationrequirementsin accordance withstate and national standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited programrequired.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse (RN), with at least 1-2 years in a primary care orfamilypractice setting preferred.
- Completion of an APRN program with a focus on general practice or family carerequired.
- Current, active state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)required.
- National Certification in a relevant APRN role, such as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP or ANCC).
- Current DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to hirerequired.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)required.
- Experience in electronic health record (eCW) systems, withproficiencyin documentation and patient management software preferred.
- Experience diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions in a primary care setting preferred.
