Position Overview
The Funding Analyst is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and funding consumer auto finance contracts once underwriting approval has been granted. This role ensures that all required stipulations are satisfied, documentation is accurate, and compliance standards are met before disbursing funds to dealers. The Funding Analyst serves as a critical quality checkpoint between underwriting and servicing, protecting AmeriTrust from funding risk while maintaining strong dealer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review approved auto loan and lease packages for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with AmeriTrust policies and state/federal regulations.
  • Verify all required stipulations are met (proof of income, insurance, identity, dealer documents, etc.) prior to funding.
  • Confirm accuracy of contracts, disclosures, rate sheets, residual values, and system inputs .
  • Communicate with dealers to resolve missing or incorrect documentation in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure lien perfection requirements are satisfied (title applications, ELT setup, DMV filings).
  • Calculate and validate funding amounts, including fees, taxes, rebates, and dealer reserves.
  • Coordinate with accounting to initiate ACH/wire funding to dealers once cleared.
  • Document funding decisions and maintain detailed records in the LOS
  • Partner with Underwriting, Compliance, and Servicing teams to escalate and resolve exceptions or potential fraud concerns.
  • Support post-funding audits and assist with resolving dealer inquiries.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in auto finance funding, loan operations, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of auto finance contracts, compliance requirements, and funding processes.
  • Familiarity with LOS and servicing platforms
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deals daily.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for dealer and internal interactions.
  • High integrity and commitment to compliance and risk management.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in both lease and retail funding.
  • Understanding of state-specific titling and tax requirements.
  • Exposure to fraud detection tools (LexisNexis, etc.).
