The Manager, International Accounting will oversee international accounting operations, ensuring accurate US GAAP reporting, effective month-end close execution, and compliance with internal controls. This role will act as a strategic accounting partner across global teams, supporting international expansion, process improvements, and financial reporting excellence.
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly US GAAP accounting activities for international operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Own the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, consolidation activities, and review responsibilities.
- Review accounting deliverables, identify discrepancies, and implement improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations across international entities.
- Support preparation of statutory financial statements and collaborate with external auditors when required.
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies, documentation, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
- Own assigned SOX compliance controls and ensure consistent execution without deficiencies.
- Provide accounting guidance, training, and mentorship to team members supporting international operations.
- Support due diligence activities and accounting integration for new market launches and international expansion.
- Lead process improvements and system enhancements to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with FP&A, Tax, Consolidations, Revenue Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and other cross-functional teams.
- Serve as a key point of contact for international accounting matters, ensuring effective communication and timely issue resolution.
The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting expertise, international accounting experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, global environment. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance accounting accuracy, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
- 7+ years of accounting experience, with Big Four public accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with exposure to IFRS or other international accounting standards preferred.
- Experience managing international entities and accounting activities across multiple currencies.
- CPA certification or active progress toward CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Experience with month-end close processes, consolidations, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with public company accounting environments and SOX compliance requirements preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
- Ability to work effectively in both remote and in-person environments as a collaborative team member.
