Position Status: Union
Reports to: Site Supervisor
Starting Wage: $23.80/hr
Job Responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service to clients
- Read and understand Maritime Pacific Single Quarter’s Regulations
- Act as building Fire Warden
- Work outside in various weather conditions for general cleaning/upkeep
- Complete March In/Out routines
- Complete rounds of building
- Complete damage reports
- Submit work orders with Real Property Operations
- Maintain key control
- Maintain building safety equipment (first aid kits, eye wash stations, emergency showers, earthquake survival kits)
- Prepare linen exchanges
- Report to BAccnO regarding needs for linen, furniture, supplies, etc.
- Use Microsoft Office suite of software including: MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Work, MS Access, MS PowerPoint
- Extensively use Base Accommodation software (MS Access and QuickQuarters)
- Liaise with outside agencies such as Preventative Medicine, Real Property Operations, DND Fire Services, and other units to ensure reservations needs are understood
- Execute emergency procedures (fire, active shooter, earthquake, building evacuations, etc.)
- Be responsible to the Base Accommodation’s Officer and Base Administration Chain of Command
- Use POS equipment to process debit/credit payments
Qualifications and Experience
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Ability to remain alert while on duty.
- Ability to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift.
- Possess or be willing to obtain a valid BC security worker's license.
- Be comfortable using computers.
- Fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.
- Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanour.
- Have excellent attention to complete incident report writing.
- Have excellent problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable handling emergencies in a calm manner – training & support will be provided.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
