Role Purpose
The Production & Event Chef at Good 2 Eat Catering is a hands-on full-time role designed to strengthen the kitchen structure underneath the Head Chef. This role is not a traditional restaurant Sous Chef position. The focus is on consistent catering production, accurate event preparation, clear packing systems, food safety, and confident onsite execution.
The position helps the Head Chef move into a stronger kitchen leadership role by taking ownership of daily production tasks, creating prep lists, stock ordering, event readiness, recipe consistency, dietary accuracy, and practical support for casual kitchen and event team members.
Key Outcomes of the Role:
Daily production is completed accurately, efficiently, and to Good 2 Eat standards.
Event food leaves the kitchen correctly prepared, labelled, packed, and checked.
Dietary and allergen requirements are managed carefully with clear communication.
Onsite food service is calm, organised, well presented, and aligned with the event run sheet.
The Head Chef is supported through better systems, stronger preparation, and fewer last-minute issues.
Kitchen wage, food cost, food safety, and customer experience targets are actively supported.

The right person will be organised, reliable, calm under pressure, and proud of getting the details right before food leaves the kitchen.
