About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY: This position works closely with the Nuclear Medicine Technologist and Internal Medicine Providers to assist during cardiac stress testing (exercise or chemical stress) - imaging and non-imaging procedures. These duties include interviewing and prepping patients for EKG and assistance in monitoring for abnormal wave forms during testing via experience gained during training and ACLS certification. Works as a team member in planning, coordinating, organizing and maintaining service/patient flow for a progressive imaging service which promotes and reflects the mission of the services of Central Peninsula Hospital. Maintains a positive customer service attitude inter and intra departmentally when performing all duties. Conducts self in a professional and courteous manner during all customer interactions.
REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or GED; 1 year work experience; certification as an EKG Technician or eligibility to gain certification within 6 months of hire date. Must have strong customer service skills, ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment; ability to deal with sights and sounds associated with patients in a trauma setting.
