About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs imaging duties as a clinical mammographer to include stereotactic biopsy procedures and DEXA scanning. Maintains knowledge of all mammography compliance and regulatory issues, including aspects of the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) as defined by the FDA and ACR. Participates in all aspects of mammography quality control tests and record keeping. Assists with clerical functions. Has knowledge of basic nursing skills and sterile procedures to assist radiologist with needle localization and biopsy procedures. Accepts personal responsibility for professional practice by adhering to standards of the profession. Maintains a positive customer service attitude when performing all duties. Carries out all responsibilities in accordance with CPH’s core values, and applicable policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology
- Two years of Imaging - Mammography experience
- Registered Technologist through ARRT
- Mammography Registry through ARRT
- BLSP (CPR) from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
