About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Interventional Radiology Technologist provides technical support and assistance to the interventional radiologist during diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. Responsibilities include room preparation, sterile scrub assistance, operation of fluoroscopic and ancillary imaging equipment, documentation, and patient care before, during, and after procedures.
This position primarily supports Interventional Radiology, with collaborative coverage for Cardiac Catheterization as needed. The technologist uses clinical knowledge, strong procedural skills, and professional judgment in accordance with departmental protocols and scope of practice.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology OR
- Graduate of a diploma, associate or baccalaureate academic program in an allied health field (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, or radiologic technology)
- Minimum of two years of Imaging - Radiography experience
- BLSP (CPR) & ACLS from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
