Warehouse Manager in Landover, Maryland at Brightkey, Inc

BrightKey is looking to hire a Warehouse Manager in Landover, MD. Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Manager, where you will lead and optimize our warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy. You will play a critical role in overseeing inventory management, coordinating logistics, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

What experience is required for this position?

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
• Experience leading and managing teams in a warehouse setting.
• Knowledge and experience with various types of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and lifts.

Key Information:

• Pay: $38.79 plus $4.93 Health & Welfare per hour

Key Responsibilities for the Warehouse Manager:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
• Manage and supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Manage employee schedules to include warehouse shipping and receiving, as well as mail routes and shuttle routes
• Develop and implement inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators to assess warehouse performance.
• Maintain and oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.

Qualifications for the Warehouse Manager:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
• Proficiency in warehouse management software and databases.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Offer is contingent upon drug & background screening as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
• Capacity to perform physical tasks that require repetitive motions.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
