Job Title: Parts Runner

Location: 2251 Silver Creek Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76108

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Type and Schedule: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 6:30am-5:00pm

Compensation: $18-$22/hour, DOE

About the role

• Silver Creek Materials (SCM) is a surface mining, large-scale composting, and recycling operation on the West Side of Fort Worth. SCM is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Parts Runner. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing inventory and coordinating shipping and receiving of parts and materials.

What you'll do

• Travel to local vendors to collect specific parts as directed by maintenance and procurement teams.
• Verify and ensure the accuracy and quality of parts received from vendors.
• Efficiently organize and store parts in the designated areas within the maintenance shop.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and parts movements.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies in parts orders.
• Ensure the maintenance shop remains tidy and that all parts are stored according to safety standards.
• Occasionally assist with emergency parts runs to support urgent maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; further training or certification in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a similar role, such as parts running, delivery, or inventory management, is preferred.
• Ability to drive with a 16' flatbed trailer, able to back the trailer and secure loads to it
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for record keeping and inventory management
