Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Who We're Looking For

Experienced medical biller who can own the billing cycle end-to-end, from clean claim submission through posting, denial management, and A/R follow-up. Must know IEHP, Medicare, and commercial payers.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare, scrub, and submit clean claims (IEHP, Medi-Cal MC, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, commercial)
• Post insurance and patient payments accurately
• Review EOBs and ERAs; reconcile against expected reimbursement
• Work denials, rejections, and underpayments: correct, resubmit, appeal
• Follow up on outstanding A/R; keep days-in-A/R within target
• Handle patient billing inquiries professionally
• Generate statements; manage patient payment plans
• Verify coding accuracy; coordinate with providers on documentation gaps
• Run billing/A/R reports; flag payer-specific trends
• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards

Qualifications

• Previous medical billing experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of IEHP, Medi-Cal managed care, Medicare, and commercial payer billing
• eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers
• Experience with claim scrubbing, EOB/ERA review, denial management, and appeals
• Detail-oriented with accurate posting skills
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Familiarity with HIPAA requirements
