Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst & Planner is part of the SIOP team, working alongside the SIOP Manager and other category planners to drive the company’s Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process. This role sits at the intersection of Lignetics’ highest-volume category and its most complex capacity planning challenge, requiring a strong analytical skill set and comfort with data modeling, analysis, and optimization tools. This role serves as a key analytical partner to the SIOP Manager, supporting capacity modeling and scenario planning that enables the identification of opportunities across the Lignetics plant network. This role requires analytical fluency, comfort with large data sets, optimization tools, and the ability to leverage artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to build models, surface insights, and translate data into supply chain decisions. This role also owns end-to-end demand and supply planning for Lignetics’ Heating category across a large, multi-site manufacturing footprint and works in close partnership with the Heating Category Manager to align on customer demand and inventory positioning at the plant and Micro market levels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the SIOP Manager, operate the Coupa supply chain optimization platform — running the supply chain model, executing scenario analyses, capacity utilization, and translating model outputs into actionable recommendations; leverage AI tools to enhance model building, automate analysis, and identify supply chain opportunities.

• Build, maintain, and continuously improve planning models to support scenario planning, capacity analysis, and supply chain decision-making.

• Own end-to-end production planning for Heating — Lignetics’ highest-volume category — across multiple work cells including pellet mills, log lines, and brick lines.

• Conduct weekly SKU demand alignment calls in close partnership with the Heating Category Manager — collaborating on sales forecast updates, customer demand signals, inventory positioning at the plant level, slow-moving inventory decisions, and ensuring inventory targets are met within the Heating Micro markets.

• Set and maintain finished goods safety stock and reorder levels for finished goods across all plants and DCs.

• Balance production against sales forecasts to manage inventory roll-forward at the SKU level, requires ongoing collaboration with other category planners, SIOP Manager, and Heating Category Manager.

• Manage procurement and supply planning activities for bag film and cover bags for the heating category. Coordinate with Purchasing Manager to obtain supplier quotations. Partner with Category Managers to ensure approved artwork and specifications. Communicate with vendors regarding purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules and status updates.

• Partner closely with the Heating Category Manager on new product launches and sales opportunity ramp-ups.

• Communicate with foresters on raw material needs.

• Perform weekly schedule attainment tracking.

• Other projects as assigned.
