Your Role
The Dispatch Operations Manager is responsible for leading and improving all aspects of vehicle dispatch operations. This role focuses on maximizing vehicle pickup rates, improving cycle times, building strong relationships with towing partners, and creating standardized processes that drive operational excellence. Success in this role is measured by increasing completed vehicle pickups, reducing delays, improving customer experience, and building a scalable dispatch operation.
What You'll Do as Dispatch Operations Manager
- Lead the day-to-day dispatch operation across multiple markets
- Monitor dispatch activity in real time to ensure vehicles are assigned and picked up efficiently.
- Develop standardized dispatch procedures and best practices
- Eliminate process bottlenecks that prevent timely pickups
- Create escalation procedures for delayed or stalled assignments
- Ensure all dispatch documentation is accurate and complete
- Utilize dispatch software and reporting tools to monitor performance
- Build dashboards and KPI reports
- Identify opportunities for automation
- Ensure dispatch notes and documentation are complete
- Present weekly operational reviews with recommendations
- Coach dispatch supervisors and dispatch agents
- Create a culture of accountability and urgency
- Establish clear performance expectations. Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions
- Assist with hiring and onboarding new dispatch employees
- Lead the day-to-day dispatch operation across multiple markets
- Monitor dispatch activity in real time to ensure vehicles are assigned and picked up efficiently

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Ability to work with independent contractors
- Capability to leverage data and performance metrics to identify opportunities, make informed decisions, and drive continuous operational improvements
