Responsible for the activities and work efforts of employees assigned to a specific shift or operation, expected to routinely function as staff. Supervises activities consistent with department goals. Typically reports to the pharmacy supervisor.
This position is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in preparing all pharmaceutical dosage forms, including intravenous preparations; to the point of "final check" approval by the pharmacist and prepares patient medication safely and effectively in addition to maintaining the drug inventory and patient records; under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.

1 year hospital pharmacy technician experience.

Three or more years' experience as a hospital pharmacy technician

Certified Pharmacy Technician or to be certified within 12 months of new job
