Position Summary:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the daily operations and administration of the Human Resources department, including benefits, employee relations, recruitment, compliance, recordkeeping, and team member development. This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and managers, offering strategic guidance to align HR practices with organizational goals. The HR Manager leads initiatives to improve employee engagement, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and implement technology-driven HR solutions. This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented HR professional who can manage multiple priorities, ranging from compliance and systems automation to culture initiatives and talent acquisition, while building strong partnerships across the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor to senior leaders, providing guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR strategies with company objectives and drive organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead complex workplace investigations within assigned regions, including performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, I-9, ACA), and monitor regulatory updates proactively.
  • Establish and maintain robust HR audit processes to mitigate risk and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Manage HR compliance tasks including New Hampshire Lottery badge audits, ensuring timely renewals and full regulatory adherence.
  • Spearhead HRIS improvements using ADP, automating workflows related to onboarding, compliance tracking, and workforce reporting.
  • Lead the transition to a paperless HR environment, digitizing records, forms, and performance evaluations.
  • Implement and manage HR technology platforms such as Snappy and Our People, including the development of custom digital forms.
  • Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards to support data-driven decisions by executive leadership.
  • Oversee benefits administration and open enrollment processes in collaboration with brokers and providers.
  • Provide strategic input on compensation, pay equity, promotions, and incentive programs.
  • Partner with payroll to ensure accurate processing of pay changes, PTO accruals, bonuses, and other adjustments.
  • Lead organizational culture and engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition programs (e.g., Rebel Awards, Employee of the Month), and employee events.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with managers to promote proactive leadership and support employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Support the development and delivery of leadership training and team member development programs.
  • Assists in managing end-to-end recruitment efforts, including sourcing, job postings, hiring events, and candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams on employer branding and employee engagement strategies.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of employee handbooks, HR policies, and training documentation.
  • Develop and manage a uniform tracking and distribution program, ensuring consistent rollout across multiple locations, including new property openings.
  • Support day-to-day HR operations across all properties, maintaining consistency and compliance organization-wide.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certification preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a generalist or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and HRIS systems (ADP preferred).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations or high-volume environments a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels, maybe exposed to secondhand smoke except and varied light levels, including flashing lights. Ability to stand, walk, bend for entire shift.
