About the Position:
Mountainside Treatment Center is seeking a motivated and compassionate Alumni Outreach Coordinator to join our dynamic and innovative Alumni team. The Alumni Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining consistent, supportive engagement with Mountainside clients and alumni, inspiring active participation in our alumni program.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Your Role:
- Build rapport with Mountainside clients and alumni to maintain meaningful connections.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan events specifically to build engagement in our outpatient locations.
- Responsible for promoting the alumni program to clients currently in treatment; running groups as needed.
- Travel to Mountainside’s outpatient locations to build rapport with program managers and to meet with clients to keep them informed about alumni programming.
- Maintain contact with alumni through outreach calls, emails, and text messages.
- Write content for the Alumni Newsletter, Alumni APP, and social media posts.
- Identify alumni in need of additional support or potential readmission.
- Help research and recruit podcast guests for the Mountainside podcast, Sober Spill.
What We’re Looking for:
- The ability to remain calm, empathetic and focused during emotionally charged conversations.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- A passion for helping people and connecting them to the services they require.
- Strong phone presence, with the ability to communicate clearly, compassionately, and confidently in difficult situations.
- Proficient writing and grammatical skills.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings, as well as flexible of a varying schedule.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalency (required)
- Associate degree (preferred)
- 2 years of experience in the substance abuse field or treatment process (preferred)
- Basic computer and internet skills including competence in software applications such as Microsoft Office suite, use of internet (required)
- Experience with Twelve-Step, and/or Refuge Recovery programs, whether personal and professional (preferred)
Compensation:
The base rate of pay for this position is $25.00 to $30.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
