Laborer in Edison, New Jersey at CalmHR Inc

First Response Rail Service is looking for hardworking, dependable Laborers to join our field operations team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and working with a crew in an industrial environment. As a Laborer, you will assist with a variety of tasks while working around heavy equipment, railcars, and industrial job sites.

• Perform general labor tasks at rail yards, industrial facilities, and customer job sites.
• Assist equipment operators and crew members with daily operations.
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, and other job-related equipment.
• Assist with site setup, cleanup, and maintaining an organized work area.
• Work safely around heavy equipment, forklifts, loaders, cranes, railcars, and other industrial machinery.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in construction, industrial work, heavy equipment, railroad operations, landscaping, or general labor is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends when needed.
• Ability to work safely as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
