Job Description
Summary:
As a Test Technician, you will support the transition of newly developed products into production while ensuring efficient and reliable manufacturing processes. This position collaborates closely with both Engineering and Production teams to resolve technical challenges and implement continuous improvements.
What You'll Do:
- Support the introduction of new product designs into manufacturing operations
- Evaluate and refine production procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Perform first article inspections on new components and communicate findings to Engineering
- Initiate and coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and assist with design updates for approval
- Partner with Production Technicians to diagnose and resolve component or assembly issues
- Drive ongoing process improvements with a focus on cycle time reduction and cost savings
- Contribute to additional operational or engineering tasks as required
What You'll Bring:
- Diploma/Degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology Program
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Knowledge in production documentation and mechanical/electrical assemblies
- Knowledge in electrical components and ESD control
- Experience in detailed assembly and integration procedures
- Knowledge in RF communication principles
- Understanding of production systems including MRP, ECOs, inventory transactions, and LEAN manufacturing principles
- Fluent in the use of MS Office programs
- Experience in LabView program (considered an asset)
- Technical training in mechanics and computer applications (considered an asset)
