(QAI) is a multi-national professional certification body, test laboratory, and inspection agency with offices throughout North America and Asia. We provide services to manufacturers of building products, electrical products, vehicles, and other regulated products. Recognition of the QAI name and logo have grown significantly over the past few years resulting in significant expansion of the business.

QAI is currently looking for a Technician – Doors & Windows testing - to join our Building Products team in Burnaby, BC.

DUTIES: The successful candidate will perform, but not be limited to, the following duties:

Perform physical testing of fenestration products (windows, doors, and skylights) to determine physical performance of productsConstruct and install test samples per standard requirementsAccurately record and document test results into a concise reportConduct factory inspections, including traveling throughout Canada and the USA to perform inspections at manufacturing sites. Clearly communicate with customers through written and verbal communication regarding their projects. Review drawings and documents relating to a variety of fenestration product to determine compliance with the relevant codes, standards, or regulations. Become familiar with the QAI quality system and administrative procedures. Interact effectively and professionally with customers and staff. Work independently and be self-motivated. Provide support to the QAI sales team.Participate in an energetic diverse team with a can-do attitude.Other duties as assigned by the manager or its designee.
