Operations Manager – Pool Build in Cape Coral, Florida at Build Manage Services LLC

Job Summary

The Operations Manager serves as the cornerstone of operational excellence and growth strategy, overseeing all aspects of daily operations, project execution, resource management, business development, and team leadership for the Pool Build division. This role drives company growth, operational efficiency, quality control, and client satisfaction while supporting the long-term strategic vision of Pool Build.

Essential Functions

• Lead the development and execution of short- and long-term operational growth strategies.
• Drive revenue growth through business development, market analysis, and operational improvements.
• Oversee all operational activities including consultations, construction scheduling, material procurement, and installation processes.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to improve operational performance and profitability.
• Manage multiple pool construction and renovation projects from inception through completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and manage department leaders and operational staff to maintain a motivated and high-performing team.
• Develop departmental budgets, approve expenditures, and negotiate vendor contracts.
• Review and approve cost estimates, financial reports, and staffing requirements for projects, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with growth objectives.
• Implement quality assurance programs and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and providing transparent updates on project progress to drive repeat business and referrals.
• Prepare and deliver detailed performance reports, metrics, and growth projections to the CEO and senior leadership.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 10 years of pool industry or construction management experience.

At least 5 years in a senior leadership or operations management role.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and supervisory skills.

Strong operational planning, project management, and organizational abilities.

In-depth knowledge of pool construction, renovation, and related construction practices.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills.

Experience with Buildertrend, Procore, Microsoft Office, and related project management software.

Ability to manage budgets, resources, and operational performance metrics.

Proven track record of driving growth, operational efficiency, and team development.

Excellent client relationship and vendor negotiation skills.

Preferred Skills/Abilities/Experience

• Master’s degree preferred.
• PMP, Certified Pool Operator (CPO), or equivalent certifications preferred.
