What You Need

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred

• 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment

• Experience programming CNC laser equipment such as Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, Mazak, Mitsubishi, or similar

• Experience with nesting software such as CypNest, HypCut, BesCutter Laser, or equivalent

• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software and 3D modeling

• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes

• Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

What Your Role Will Look Like

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC laser programs for sheet metal fabrication

• Develop nesting layouts that maximize material utilization and minimize scrap

• Select cutting parameters based on material type, thickness, and production requirements

• Support laser operators by troubleshooting programming and production issues

• Validate first-run programs and make adjustments to improve quality and throughput

• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality to improve manufacturability and efficiency

• Maintain program libraries, revisions, and documentation

• Analyze production data and identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and manufacturing costs

• Support new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives

• Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards
