High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience programming CNC laser equipment such as Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, Mazak, Mitsubishi, or similar
Experience with nesting software such as CypNest, HypCut, BesCutter Laser, or equivalent
Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications
Experience with CAD/CAM software and 3D modeling
Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes
Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Create, modify, and optimize CNC laser programs for sheet metal fabrication
Develop nesting layouts that maximize material utilization and minimize scrap
Select cutting parameters based on material type, thickness, and production requirements
Support laser operators by troubleshooting programming and production issues
Validate first-run programs and make adjustments to improve quality and throughput
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality to improve manufacturability and efficiency
Maintain program libraries, revisions, and documentation
Analyze production data and identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and manufacturing costs
Support new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards
