The CVNS unit is an intermediate level of care unit between ICU and the general MedSurg department. All CVNS unit patients require continuous cardiac monitoring. The CVNS unit is our designated Stroke patient care unit.

RN RESIDENCY PROGRAM DETAILS:EvergreenHealth's Residency Program consists of group practicums and lectures that support the graduate RN to mitigate the education-to-industry gap. We foster growth in the clinical, professional, and transitional aspects of professional nursing practice. The Residency program incorporates collaborative team support by managers, preceptors, and clinical nurse educators.

RN Residents require a Washington State RN license and an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS card by your hire date.

Primary Duties:

  1. Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
  2. Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
  3. Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
  4. Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
  5. Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
  6. Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.
  7. Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIREDfor the position:

  • Graduateof a nursing program (Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and/or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree by December 21, 2026
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington OR holding a multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license by February 15, 2027
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS- American Heart Association by start date.
  • Healthcare provider ACLS - American Heart Association completion during training
  • Successful completion of NCLEX by January 18, 2027
  • Able to start onMarch 1, 2027
