Job Description:
Provides professional nursing care for a lithotripsy service. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care rendered to patients. Collaborates with the physician and clinical staff to coordinate care. Provides education to patients and family members. Assures the quality of care to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. We are seeking compassionate, skilled, and detail-oriented Registered nurses (RNs) to join our TEAM. The Lithotripsy RN will be responsible for providing high-quality pre-operative care, procedural sedation, and post-operative care during extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) procedures.
Requirements:EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
EXPERIENCE:
- Current license by state of North Carolina or a nurse compact participating state as a registered nurse
- Minimum of one year experience in ambulatory surgery or critical care. Sedation experience preferred but not required
- Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certification preferred
- Proficient with electronic health records preferred
- Knowledge of urology patient care desired but not required

- Must be able and willing to share knowledge and information with team members.
- Effective communication abilities (both written and verbal).
- Proficient with patient documentation.
- The ability to use customer relation skills to enhance the customer experience.
- Knowledge of common medical practice processes and workflows.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
