Position Summary

The CFS Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the import process, compliance with customs regulations, and the efficient transportation of goods to their final destination. This role involves leading a team, optimizing operations, and ensuring seamless coordination to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight

• Supervise and coordinate all import activities from port arrival to final delivery.

• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies.

• Develop and implement import policies and procedures

• Track and monitor shipments to confirm on-time delivery.

• Process and review import documentation.

Team Leadership & Development

• Manage, train, and develop direct reports to ensure team performance aligns with business needs.

• Set clear goals, conduct performance appraisals, and provide ongoing coaching.

• Ensure staffing levels align with operational demands.



Customer & Vendor Relations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.

• Address and resolve customer concerns, ensuring service excellence in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with sales teams and warehouse staff to resolve issues and support customer needs.

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Identify potential risks and issues that could affect operations and implement proactive solutions.

• Develop and implement import policies and procedures

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in imports, freight forwarding, or NVOCC.

• Strong knowledge of the global supply chain is a plus.
