Student Staff Radiologic Tech at Lake Regional Health System – Osage Beach, Missouri

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs all requested ultrasound examinations as ordered by the attending physician
• Prepares preliminary reports and contacts referring physicians when required
• Coordinates with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided
• Address patient problems as they arise & make decisions to appropriately resolve the issue
• Organizes daily work schedules and performs related clerical duties as required
• Assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients in the ultrasound area
• Report equipment failure to the appropriate individual
• Provide in-service education on requirements of ultrasound procedures as requested by other members of the health care team
• Must be familiar with basic abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular pathologies in order to recognize and identify abnormalities
• Explain procedures to patients
• Help care for and maintain equipment

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Graduated from an Accredited Ultrasound program
• Active certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) strongly preferred
• RDMS and RVT strongly preferred
• Currently compliant with required continuing education
• Full-Time, Varied Shifts with Varied Hours
• Annual influenza vaccine required.
