About This Position

Under the supervision of the Senior Program Director, the Assistant Program Director oversees the administrative, educational and clinical needs of the students and staff of teams within the IIP, day services program. A cover letter and resume are required for consideration.

General Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of staff, coordinators, and specialists
  • Spends a significant amount of time each week working directly with students and team members on execution of clinical and educational projects
  • Conduct team and student specific trainings related to ABA, CALM-P, clinical and educational programming
  • Assist in conducting formal observations of teachers/students, which yields data to be used in evaluations and clinical/educational programming
  • Provide mentoring related to professional development and coaching/feedback on NECC policy as needed
  • Communicate any concerns to supervising director
  • Ensure team-wide systems are operating that allow for proper monitoring and documentation of program changes to increase/decrease targeted responses
  • Regularly attend educational assessment and clinical meetings
  • Monitor data and make programmatic suggestions to reduce the need for restrictive procedures
  • Contribute to the IEP and Re-evaluation process for students across all teams
  • Supports clinical/educational discussions with families, districts & transportation, including during clinics and IEP meetings.
  • Assure teachers receive adequate training on the ACE, NECC Core Skill and Activity Assessment; philosophy and content
  • Help cover supervisor vacancies or leaves on team by shifting job responsibilities (as specified in leave plan) while maintaining core APD supervisory responsibilities
  • Supports daily student transitions
  • Supports student intakes and related procedures
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team including HR, EFS, Specialty Services and Nursing

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must possess a Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis or Education with extensive practical training and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Board Certified (BCBA) and licensed (LABA) required
  • Experience in staff training and supervision required
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
