Position Overview:
ABC Recycling Ltd. is seeking a Catalytic Converter Grader & Helper to join our team in Abbotsford, B.C. This position plays an important supporting role within our Catalytic Converter Department by assisting with the grading, sorting, packaging, inventory management, and shipment preparation of catalytic converters. Working alongside experienced team members, you'll help ensure materials are processed accurately, inventory remains organized, and daily operations run efficiently in a safe and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Grades and prices catalytic convertors for both customers and intercompany transactions
- Sort, organize, label, and package catalytic converters for storage and shipment.
- Receive, move, and organize materials throughout the facility.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory organization.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided where applicable).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or safety concerns.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous recycling and grading experience are required.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Forklift experience or certification is considered an asset.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and safety focused.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
