About the Role:

The Service Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal operation and longevity of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This position involves diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and addressing plumbing and general maintenance needs to minimize downtime. The technician will work closely with production teams to maintain a safe and efficient working environment, ensuring all equipment meets operational standards. Accurate documentation and reporting of maintenance activities and repairs are essential to support continuous improvement and compliance. Ultimately, the Service Technician contributes to the overall productivity and safety of the manufacturing facility by delivering timely and effective technical support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting and general maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to safely operate power tools and perform plumbing repairs.
• Strong written communication skills for preparing routine reports and documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various facility locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certification or associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Additional certifications such as OSHA safety training.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on manufacturing equipment to resolve malfunctions promptly.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools to conduct preventive maintenance and general repairs on machinery and facility infrastructure.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing systems to prevent leaks and ensure proper operation within the manufacturing environment.
• Write routine reports and correspondence detailing maintenance activities, repairs performed, and recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to manufacturing processes.
