Senior Project Engineering Lead in Sterling Heights, Michigan at Land Systems

About the Role:

This is a senior project management role within the Customer Service and Sustainment (CSS) Project Office organization. The Logistics Project Engineering Senior Specialist leads an Integrated Product Team (IPT), managing and overseeing the planning, execution, and control of Logistics product development programs. This senior specialist will provide team oversight, senior-level guidance and direction, and have direct accountability to the Program Management Office, Government PM, and Executive Leadership Team as a key member of the Program Team.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership for Logistics project team scope, budget, and schedule
• Oversight and guidance over a Logistics IPT, including mentoring, coaching, and upholding a high standard of excellence
• Representing GDLS in Government meetings and milestone reviews
• Leading coordination across multi-department Program teams, including Finance, Contracts, Engineering, and Test
• Monitoring program performance, including Earned Value and resource allocations
• Program-level risk management
• Leading development of proposals as part of the Program Team

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a Business or Engineering field; and an advanced degree, preferably MBA completed or in process with suitable experience
• 8+ years of experience in logistics and/or project management, ideally to include leading project or program teams
• 2+ years of experience in the development or management of US Army Technical Manuals and related logistics products
• Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
