Position Summary:
The Production Technical Lead supports the manufacturing operations through setting up machines. building jigs and fixtures, and determining the safest and most efficient way for operators to product structural components.

- You will read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication details.
- You will design, build, and modify jigs and fixtures for repeatable production.
- You will set up saws, drill presses, and rolling machines.
- You will define safe and efficient methods for loading and unloading parts.
- You will perform first-piece setups and adjustments before production begins.
- You will support operators and troubleshoot setup-related issues.
- You will ensure setups meet safety and quality standards.
- As always, other duties may be assigned.

Education and Technical Skills:
Successful candidates will have a post-secondary education in a mechanical or manufacturing field or equivalent hands-on experience, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or equal combination of education and experience. Required experience includes working with saws, drill presses, and rollers. Manufacturing or fabrication experience with steel or aluminum is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Qualified applicants will have a proactive mindset, organization skills, and the ability to multitask with many moving parts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective and prompt communication skills, the ability to collaborate with teams, and practical problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands:
Successful candidates will be comfortable walking and standing for extended periods of time. Qualified applicants will be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds with or without help; be comfortable using computer screens, keyboards, and handheld devices; and be able to communicate, hear, and work in a low to moderate volume environment.
