Your Mission:
Your mission is to curate the building's culture by owning the strategy, calendar, and rhythmic heartbeat of our tenant community programming. You don’t just plan events; you design the spark that turns a premier workplace into a thriving, dynamic hub. By creating experiences that promote connection, productivity, and longevity, you strengthen the connective tissue between our tenants and establish the property as the most coveted location to work in San Francisco.
Your Focus:
You’ll be the bridge between placemaking vision and daily execution, translating broad strategy into intentional, high-impact programming that makes the building a destination where people truly want to belong. Working closely with the Experience Director, you will design events that directly support leasing velocity and tenant retention. By clearing the way through rigorous scoping, budgeting, and planning, you ensure every activation—from exclusive broker showcases to daily tenant rituals—is sophisticated, high-impact, and seamlessly executed.
- Strategic Programming & Cultural Rhythm: Own the vision, strategy, and annual calendar for all tenant community events. You’ll design a mix of large-scale and intimate activations for a variety of amenity spaces, such as social lounges, games room, outdoor terrace, lobby and more.
- Leasing & Retention Acceleration: Directly support leasing initiatives and asset value through targeted programming. You will design experience-driven broker events, support leasing tours for prospects, and create bespoke experiences aimed at key tenant groups and decision-makers to drive retention.
- Relationship Mastery & Tenant Discovery: Serve as connector within the building. You’ll build trusted, long-term relationships with tenants and use their feedback and insights to actively shape relevant, highly tailored, and impactful programming.
- Ecosystem & Partner Synergy: Champion and promote our on-site F&B operator, retail offerings, and preferred local vendors. You will orchestrate cross-promotional events and partnerships, prioritizing their use for catering and event experiences to create a cohesive, thriving, and "house proud" atmosphere.
- Scoping & Execution Excellence: Act as the operational architect for every event, defining clear goals, logistics, and "run-of-show" frameworks. You will set the stage and deliver a flawless, five-star brand reality every time.
- Financial Stewardship & Impact Insights: Manage the annual tenant events budget with an entrepreneurial mindset. You will track performance, attendance metrics, and community feedback to deliver data-driven insights and measurable outcomes.
- 4+ years of experience managing full-cycle event operations, hospitality, or premium guest-facing environments (e.g., hotels, conference centers, venues, workplace hospitality).
- Proven experience owning operational standards, service delivery, and team performance in high-volume or high-touch environments.
- Skilled in driving revenue and efficiency through utilization planning, staffing models, and resource management.
- Effective escalation owner, resolving complex event issues quickly while protecting the guest experience.
- Comfortable partnering cross-functionally with key stakeholders to deliver an exceptional experience.
- Tech-savvy, with experience using booking, scheduling, and collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, event platforms).
- Adaptable and confident learning new systems for membership and program management.
- Human-Centric Intuition: You have a natural ability to "Know Your People." You’ve demonstrated the insight to design programming that isn't just "nice to have," but reflects the deep-seated needs and business realities of a community, creating rituals that truly make a building a destination.
- The Blueprint Mindset: You are a master of Setting the Stage. You possess the rigor to plan with such thoroughness and clarity that the transition from vision to execution is effortless. You build the frameworks that allow your team to Channel the Swan and deliver flawlessly.
- Relational Stewardship: As a primary Connector, you build deep-rooted trust through authentic presence and relentless follow-through. Whether you’re navigating a tenant’s vision or a vendor’s logistics, you communicate with the heart of a host and the precision of a partner.
- Balanced "Craft" & Reality: You possess the entrepreneurial edge to balance high-energy creative programming with the "house proud" realities of execution. You have a sharp eye for what’s possible, ensuring that every ambitious idea is grounded in logistical excellence and operational capacity.
- Organization & Prioritization: You thrive in the "dance" of complex environments. You bring structure and reliability to the most intricate cultural rhythms, managing the calendar with a level of poise and prioritization that ensures the building’s heartbeat never skips a beat.
Our Core Values:
Playbook's culture is based on a shared respect for our lived values HERE. Fit with our values is a critical component of our hiring process, and you and all of our colleagues are expected to live our core values in interactions with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
