Job Description:

In this role, you’ll start with accounts payable and other foundational accounting work, then steadily take on more responsibility as you develop your skills.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Accounts Payable: Process invoices, payments, and vendor statements quickly and accurately.
• Purchasing Support: Match purchases to the correct cost centers and keep documentation organized.
• Reconciliations: Assist with monthly general ledger reconciliations.
• Month-End/Year-End Closing: Support the finance team in preparing accurate reports and schedules.
• Compliance Assistance: Help maintain clean audit trails and support internal reviews.
• Grant Support: Assist in tracking expenses and preparing documentation for grant reports.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with other departments to keep operations running smoothly.
• Process Improvement: Suggest ways to make workflows more efficient as you learn

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ideal for recent graduates).
• Experience: Internship or entry-level accounting experience preferred, but not required.

Skills:

• Solid Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to learn new software quickly (Sage 300 experience is a plus)
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
