Director Nursing Women & Infant Services at Crouse Hospital – Syracuse, New York

The Director is responsible for operations and administrative leadership, the strategic and operational plans to support the vision of the department(s), operationalizing the plans and evaluating and/or revising the plan as needed. The Director assumes full responsibility for the development and implementation of nursing procedures for the department, as well as supervision of nursing care for all patients in the department(s). minimum education/certification/ licensure: Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a Master's Degree in a related field, or a Bachelor's Degree in another field with a Master's Degree in Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire. Certification in a specialty area preferred. minimum experience: Required: Five (5) years or more of management/leadership experience required. Must possess demonstrated leadership ability. Preferred: Strategic planning and development experience. special skills/equipment: Working knowledge of MS Office. Demonstrates effective problem solving, negotiating, and conflict resolution skills.

This position will oversee our Kienzle Family Maternity center, and implementation of the Women's Services strategic plan including the Pelvic Health Program and GYN services.
