Job Overview:
Company: Superior Rail & Iron Works Inc.
Salary/Pay Rate: $95,000 per year (Performance & Year-End Bonuses available).
Location: Onsite (New England Market).
Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.
Schedule: Monday - Friday.
Project Scope: Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Government/Federal.
Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.
The Opportunity: You will be a cornerstone of the Sales & Client Relations division, serving as the first point of technical contact for complex metal projects. This role allows you to leverage your expertise in miscellaneous metals to secure high-impact contracts while maintaining the "user-friendly" service that defines our third-generation family business.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Execute high-quality material take-offs for miscellaneous metal projects across all sectors.
Define comprehensive scopes of work to ensure project clarity and client satisfaction.
Analyze architectural blueprints and specifications to generate accurate cost estimates.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through a positive and collaborative attitude.
Coordinate with the detailing and fabrication teams to ensure estimated costs align with production.
Prepare professional bid proposals that highlight company value and technical proficiency.
Track project costs and market trends to continuously refine bidding accuracy.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating specifically for the miscellaneous metals industry.
Exceptional proficiency in performing detailed take-offs for rail and stair systems.
Proven track record of defining accurate and profitable project scopes.
Strong ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a "user-friendly" approach to client communication.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Experience using industry-standard estimating software and advanced Excel functions.
Demonstrated history of winning competitive bids for government or federal contracts.
Strong background in local New England construction standards and safety codes.
