About the Role:
The Residential Installation Lead is responsible for overseeing and executing the installation of HVAC systems in residential properties, ensuring all work complies with industry standards and local regulations. This role requires leading other installers/techs to deliver high-quality installations that meet customer expectations and safety requirements. The lead will coordinate project schedules, manage resources efficiently, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the installation process. A critical aspect of this position is ensuring adherence to EPA certification standards and HVAC codes to maintain environmental and safety compliance. Ultimately, the Residential Installation Lead plays a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction through expert technical leadership and effective team management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- EPA Certification for handling refrigerants.
- Proven experience in residential HVAC installation and knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites.
- Ability to lead a team and manage multiple installation projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications related to HVAC systems safety.
- Experience with advanced HVAC technologies and energy-efficient systems.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Background in training or mentoring technical staff.
- Knowledge of local building codes beyond HVAC-specific regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and quality completion.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks to team members, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure all installations comply with HVAC codes, regulations, and EPA certification requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions, concerns, and ensuring a positive installation experience.
- Conduct on-site inspections to verify workmanship quality and adherence to safety protocols.
- Train and mentor installation technicians to improve skills and maintain high performance standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to optimize installation processes and resource allocation.
