About This Position
Work on some of the world’s largest renewable energy plants as a hands-on technician of asset commissioning, repair, and service on power systems projects. We work with the largest independent power producers in the US and need to grow to meet their needs. We are seeking a skilled technician to contribute to our team. Responsibilities include commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting utility-scale BESS and PCU equipment. Location:
100% at job site
Pay:
DOE $35-$55 per hour (hourly, non-exempt)

Reports to:
On Site Commissioning Superintendent
Preferred Background:
· 3 years of commissioning experience or 3 years of utility scale PV/BESS background
· 5 years of electrical experience- minimum
· Excellent technical and communication skills
· Analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to learn quickly, prioritize safety, and follow precise directions
· OSHA 30 or OSHA 10
Required Skillsets:
· Excellent understanding of electrical wiring diagrams
· Journeyman Electrician License (minimum)
· Electrical troubleshooting
· Excellent communication skills
· LOTO coordination
· Expertise in utility scale BESS and Solar inverters
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Solution oriented
· Process of placing equipment into ESWC (0 energy state)
Job Responsibilities:
· Performs daily detailed scope of the work on BESS and PCU equipment
· Participate in safety discussions
· Communicate daily with onsite personnel from multiple to entities to ensure roadblocks are eliminated
· Implement Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, assure all LOTO performed as per company policy
· Participate in detailed Weekly and Daily work plan that identifies all work to be completed as well as overall progress of the commissioning or work activities.
· Adhere to the applicable work instructions and safety standards
· Adhere to the Quality program and complete all required documentation
· Ensure all tooling/PPE in proper condition and within acceptable calibration date
· Hand tool use
· PPE use
· Electrical tool use (multi-meters, OEM tools, insulation resistance tools etc.)
· Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach for extended periods on construction jobsites.
- Ability to traverse uneven terrain and work in varied weather conditions typical of outdoor construction environments.
- Ability to distinguish color-coded wiring where required for safety-critical electrical work, with reasonable accommodation where feasible.
- Ability to wear required PPE and comply with all site safety protocols.
