As the Program Engagement Administrator, you will be a key part of the Surplus and Recycling team. You’ll help support day-to-day operations, work with customers across state agencies and the public, and assist in keeping processes organized and running smoothly.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, staying organized, and helping people.
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Provide front-line customer service by phone, email, and in person
- Support application processing for program participants and agencies
- Assist with data entry, recordkeeping, and document management
- Help coordinate pickups, inventory tracking, and general program logistics
- Maintain shared inboxes and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
- Support auction and sales processes (GovDeals and other platforms)
- Assist with reporting, tracking program activity, and maintaining files
- Work across multiple areas of the Surplus and Recycling program as needed
This role supports multiple functions, so flexibility and willingness to learn are important.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on details
- Customer service experience preferred but not required
- Experience in an administrative or office support role
- Experience working with databases or tracking systems
- Comfortable working with a team and independently
