Pharmacy Intern/Trainee Position Summary
The pharmacy graduate is a pharmacy intern that graduated within the last 9 months from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy and is actively pursuing licensure within the state of MD and/or DE. The pharmacy graduate assists pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and performing other duties as directed by a licensed and registered pharmacist. The pharmacy graduate works under the supervision of a licensed registered pharmacist currently employed by TidalHealth.
Pharmacy Intern/Trainee Position Requirements
Education
- Recent (within 9 months) graduation from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
- Must be a registered pharmacy intern in the State of Maryland or Delaware
Experience
- Experience as a pharmacy technician and/or pharmacy intern preferred.
Pharmacy Intern/Trainee Work Schedule
- The pharmacy is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. May be assigned to work mostly one shift or may have a rotational schedule consisting of duty on day and evening shifts, as staffing needs require. Works alternating weekends.
- Rotational coverage of holidays.
- Expected to work overtime and/or additional weekends in times of staffing shortages, emergencies, and unexpected increases in workload.
