About the role

The position of Facilities Maintenance Technician will have primary responsibility to provide janitorial and facility maintenance support to our Fullerton facility. This position will require janitorial, maintenance, and general labor work to be done inside and outside of the facility, year-round.

What you'll do

•Perform general janitorial services, throughout the facility, such as picking up trash, emptying trash cans, sweeping, mopping, dusting, raking and vacuuming;
•Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, perform basic repairs, minor dock door repairs and dock leveler cleaning and maintenance;
•Floor cleaning with industrial ride-on scrubber;
•Yard sweeping with industrial ride-on sweeper;
•Using a forklift, move and stack pallets;
•Responsible for filling forklift propane tanks;

Qualifications

•High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Must be forklift certified;
•Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently;
•Ability to read and follow cleaning or maintenance chemical and equipment instructions, and safety precautions accurately;
•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in written, oral or diagram form;
•Ability to perform work required in a timely manner and maintain adequate production in order to meet deadlines;
