Cook (Brentwood, TN) at Apex Recovery LLC – Brentwood, Tennessee

Responsible for the preparing, cooking, storing of food for clients and guests within the home or facility. The

incumbent will have knowledge of facility food service systems, and have demonstrated ability to interact, relate

to, work with, and support the activities of a diverse workforce and client population.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares and/or preps menu items according to standard recipes
• Maintains equipment in kitchen to standard
• Maintains kitchen area to state required sanitary standards
• Completes all tasks on duty while adhering to safety standards and policies of the hospital
• Assists chef in preparation of menu and procurement of supplies
• Follow any dietary restrictions or preferences as noted by the Chef or clinical staff
• Ensure high level of customer services is provided to clients at all time

• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

• Formal culinary education or training, preferred
• High School Diploma
• Experience healthcare food preparation preferred
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
• Capable of working within established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the organization.
• English sufficient to provide and receive/instructions/directions.

Physical Requirements:

• Move throughout the residential houses and community.
• Repetitive hand movement, use and view PC. Use fax, telephone, and copier.
• Sits or stand for long periods of time, reach, bend, climb, stoop, and ability to lift up to 25lbs.
