Job Description
OVERVIEW
You will be responsible for supporting the resources needed to effectively and efficiently deliver high quality Facilities Management Projects and to monitor those ongoing resources for accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a high standard;
- Attend pre-bid conferences.
- Assemble bids from sub-contractors and vendors, verify scopes, negotiate scope of work;
- Identify project specific risks and critical path scheduling;
- Support the Project Management Team as needed through project duration and monitor construction costs;
- Further develop the supply chain of sub-contractors and vendors across all markets and properly qualify;
- Assemble proposals and distribute;
- Distribute plans and specifications to subcontractors and vendors, distribute addenda's, prepare bid packages, obtain proposal, etc.;
- Construction Administration – developing, maintaining and processing Change Orders, RFI's, Addendums, Agendas, Meeting Minutes, Close-Out Manuals, etc.;
- Compose and/or edit reports, emails, memos, reports, procedures as required;
- Work and follow-up with subcontractors/vendors to ensure paperwork submitted is completed timely and in good order. These include but are not limited to: contracts, insurance certificates, lien releases, change orders, and application for payments;
- Make daily site visits to assigned projects to ensure subcontractor compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE DESIRED
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to fulfill the obligations of this position successfully.
- A minimum of 2-5 years' experience successfully supporting light commercial construction projects.
- Certifications in safety, OSHA training
- Project management certifications such as CAPM or PMP.
- Working knowledge of project management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of project management best practices.
- Financial and analytical proficiency.
- Familiarity with product development.
- Ability to stay highly organized and balance multiple tasks.
- Background in administrative support.
- Experience using project management tools.
