Job Description
Job Summary
Responsible for addressing Member and Provider first level basic incoming calls and inquiries. Assists with outbound customer service calls, and supports all other departments within El Paso Health (EPH). Focus on one or more of EPH’s primary line of business, which may include but is not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, Health Care Options (HCO), or Third Party Administration (TPA) programs.
Skills
1. Excellent bi-lingual oral/written skills in English and Spanish highly preferred.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills.
3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
4. Computer awareness and willingness to learn data entry required.
5. Performs the basic functions or arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.
6. Performs reading, writing, and speaking at all intermediate level, demonstrating good oral and written communication skills as well as attention detail.
7. Excellent customer service and communication skills as demonstrated by past experience.
Work Experience
One year of experience in an office environment involving data entry tasks plus 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or a managed care insurance environment. Familiarity and/or exposure to Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, or Third Party Administration and/or social service system preferred.
License/Registration/Certification
None.
Education and Training
High school diploma or equivalent required.
