Human Resources Specialist

The Human Resources Specialist is a key contributor to the success of day-to-day HR operations, supporting employees throughout the entire employment life cycle—from onboarding to offboarding. This role is responsible for delivering a seamless experience by coordinating new hire onboarding, administering benefits, maintaining accurate employee records, and ensuring efficient data management within the HRIS system. In addition, the specialist provides essential support in payroll processes and helps uphold compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Monday through Friday schedule.

The successful candidate will be passionate about the little details and have a desire to learn and grow in HR.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with creating and maintaining filing systems including new hire paperwork
  • Completing all necessary steps for new hires
  • Benefit Enrollment for new hires and assisting during open enrollment
  • Updating employee perks on a monthly basis
  • All steps in the termination process
  • Completes I-9 forms, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
  • Play a part in maintaining the office space for cleanliness and keeping on-boarding supplies stocked and up to date.
  • Helps HR team with recognition programs and events throughout the year.
  • Auditing of team member files
  • Relaying arrival information to housing manager and assisting coordination of arrival transportation
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS.
  • Opening and posting open jobs and writing job descriptions
  • Social media posting as it relates to recruiting and advertising
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
  • Files documents into appropriate team member files
  • Potential to help with housing tasks, such as assignments, inventory, invoices, rent payments, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
