JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Pest Control Technician is the highest-level field technician position at Natran Green Pest Control. This role is responsible for independently performing advanced residential, commercial, and specialty pest control services while upholding the highest standards of technical execution, compliance, safety, and customer service.

Senior Pest Control Technician Technicians serve as subject-matter experts in pest biology, treatment protocols, and service delivery. In addition to managing their own service responsibilities, they support field quality, training, and operational continuity by assisting with onboarding, coaching, and serving as an on-site technical resource. Master Technicians may temporarily assume field leadership responsibilities when assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Execution & Technical Performance

  • Perform advanced pest control services across residential, commercial, and specialty service lines, including general pest control, termite services, mosquito control systems, rodent control, exclusion work, and other approved specialty services.
  • Independently complete complex inspections, accurately identify pest pressures, structural vulnerabilities, and conducive conditions, and determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Apply pest control products and materials strictly in accordance with label directions, company SOPs, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely service documentation including service reports, product usage logs, termite documentation, diagrams, agreements, and required disclosures.

Customer Communication & Sales Execution

  • Communicate professionally and clearly with customers, explaining findings, services performed, and recommended solutions in a manner that builds trust and confidence.
  • Conduct inspections, prepare quotes, present service options, and close approved services in accordance with Natran’s established sales processes and internal procedures.
  • Accurately process all orders, agreements, and service changes within required internal systems.
  • Attend required sales meetings and trainings as scheduled.

Training, Coaching & Field Support

  • Assist with onboarding and field training of Apprentice and Technician-level employees as assigned.
  • Provide hands-on coaching and technical guidance to technicians in the field to reinforce proper service execution, documentation, and customer communication.
  • Serve as a technical resource for peers by modeling company standards, safety practices, and operational discipline.
  • May serve as acting field leadership when the Field Services Manager or Operations Manager is unavailable or assigns coverage.

Compliance, Safety & Operational Standards

  • Maintain full compliance with OSHA, Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), and company safety requirements.
  • Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and continuing education units (CEUs) in good standing.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, maintaining cleanliness, organization, and required inspection standards.
  • Maintain assigned inventory, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring readiness for daily operations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility.
  • May provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, or temporary leadership coverage when assigned.
Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Texas Certified Applicator License with pest and termite categories required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience performing licensed pest control services at a senior or advanced technician level.
  • Demonstrated experience performing residential, commercial, and specialty pest control services.
  • Prior experience training, mentoring, or supporting other technicians preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Advanced knowledge of pest biology, integrated pest management (IPM), and treatment methodologies.
  • Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to train, coach, and positively influence peers.
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and accountability.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex service responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with required mobile applications, routing systems, and documentation tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • To perform the essential functions of this role, the Master Technician must be able to:
  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, and access confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces.
  • Lift, carry, and handle equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions including heat, cold, humidity, and precipitation.
  • Safely operate ladders and work at heights when required.
  • Operate a motor vehicle in compliance with company driving standards.
  • Wear required PPE and properly fitted respirators in accordance with OSHA requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Master Technician works in residential and commercial environments, both indoors and outdoors. The role involves regular exposure to pests, pest control products, and varying environmental conditions. Frequent local travel is required. Evening, weekend, and on-call work may be required based on service demands.
