Job Description

Position Overview:

The Showroom Sales Associate is responsible for welcoming visitors, supporting showroom operations, and actively driving

sales by offering high-energy service to the interior design and architectural community. This role focuses on cultivating trade

relationships, providing expert guidance on luxury textiles, fabrics and rugs, and ensuring a seamless, high-touch experience

from initial product discovery through final delivery. The ideal candidate possesses a deep passion for textiles and high-end

design, brings an energetic and proactive approach to consultative sales, and thrives on helping designers translate their

creative visions into beautifully executed custom projects.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Engagement & Client Development

● Drive showroom sales by welcoming walk-in traffic and proactively engaging interior designers, architects, and clients.

● Under the guidance of the Showroom Manager helps the day-to-day sales cycle, assisting clients with design

specifications.

● Act as an enthusiastic brand educator, guiding clients through textile construction, fibers, color palettes, textures, and

custom sizing options.

● Build and maintain a strong network within the local design community through energetic outreach, sample follow-ups,

and active participation in showroom events.

Showroom Presentation

● Maintain the daily presentation of the showroom, ensuring the space remains immaculate, inviting, and visually aligned

with RH luxury brand standards.

● Assist with showroom merchandising, updating product displays, and preparing the floor for new collection launches.

● Provide a high level of hospitality and support during designer presentations, industry and trade events.

Project Administration

● Support the Showroom Manager to accurately translate client design concepts into detailed custom specifications for

order processing.

● Support the Showroom Manager on order tracking and proactively communicate updates, lead times, and delivery coordination details to clients.

● Help resolve order issues quickly and professionally to protect the client’s experience.

Key Success Metrics

● Integrate well with the NY Team to achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals.

● Consistent growth and engagement of a personal portfolio of trade accounts.

● Efficient processing, accuracy, and conversion of showroom inquiries into active orders.

● Meticulous upkeep and organization of the showroom floor and sample libraries.

● Positive, collaborative contribution to the overall showroom team and client experience.

● Consultative and polished communicator who naturally builds rapport with high-end clientele.

● Genuine passion for luxury textiles, craftsmanship, and interior design aesthetics.

● Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy in order placement and project tracking.

● Collaborative team player who works effectively alongside showroom colleagues, design, and operations teams.

● Strong verbal and written communication skills.

● Adaptability to changing priorities, processes, and fast-paced showroom needs.

Qualifications

● 3+ years of successful sales experience within luxury interiors, textiles, rugs, furniture, or high-end design accessories.

● Proven track record of interacting confidently and effectively with interior designers, architects, and residential trade

clients.

● Strong aesthetic sensibility and a demonstrated understanding of interior design principles and luxury retail standards.

● Experience in consultative selling, custom products and projects coordination.

● Highly organized with strong follow-up habits and a proactive approach to business development.

● Proficiency with CRM databases, order management software, and Microsoft Office platforms.
