About the Role:

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the HR department by managing and streamlining various administrative and operational functions. This position ensures the accurate processing of new hire paperwork, maintenance of employee records, and compliance with employment laws, contributing to a well-organized and legally compliant HR environment. The coordinator acts as a liaison between employees and management, facilitating effective employee relations and communication. By managing HRIS systems such as Ultipro and overseeing benefits administration, the role supports the overall employee experience and organizational efficiency. Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of sensitive employee information is a critical aspect of this position, ensuring trust and compliance with privacy standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with HRIS systems, preferably Ultipro.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices applicable in Canada.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification from a recognized HR body such as CHRP or CHRL.
  • Experience in benefits administration and employee relations within a Canadian context.
  • Familiarity with additional HR software and database management tools.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced HR environment.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage new hire paperwork accurately and efficiently to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Maintain and update employee records and databases within HRIS systems, including Ultipro.
  • Support benefits administration by coordinating enrollments, changes, and communications with employees.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies through accurate documentation and record-keeping.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations inquiries, providing timely and professional support while maintaining confidentiality.

Skills:

The required skills such as proficiency in Ultipro and HRIS systems enable the coordinator to efficiently manage employee data and streamline HR processes. Expertise in new hire paperwork and employee records ensures accurate onboarding and compliance with legal requirements.
