Unit Manager – Full-Time | $100,000-106,000 Annually | Worcester, MA
Briarwood Retirement Community is hiring a Nurse Supervisor to join our Knollwood Nursing team. This full-time leadership role is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong clinical nursing and staff management experience who is looking to grow in long-term care and nursing administration.

This is a full time salaried role which will typically include day shifts but some evenings and weekends based on organizational needs.

• Manage and coordinate nursing staff and daily departmental operations.
• Ensure patients receive quality healthcare while maintaining compliance with nursing standards and regulations.
• Oversee scheduling, hiring, onboarding, training, mentoring, and disciplinary processes for nursing staff.
• Monitor department resources, supplies, and equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
• Create and implement policies, procedures, and programs that support organizational goals and patient care excellence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to implement effective patient care plans.
• Report and resolve operational or patient care concerns with senior leadership in a timely manner.
• Provide physical and emotional support to patients, families, and caregivers.

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current Massachusetts RN license required.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum three years of nursing experience preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-term care or sub-acute care experience preferred.
• Compliance with continuing education (CEU) and re-licensure requirements.
• Current CPR and IV therapy certification preferred.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems; strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, physicians, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to prepare professional reports and communicate clearly before various audiences.
