Summerhill Market is looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and curious Data Coordinator to join our IT & Data team. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone interested in developing their career in data, technology, business systems, and retail operations.

The Data Coordinator will help maintain accurate product and business data, support the systems used across our stores, and assist with reporting, data entry, troubleshooting, and ongoing data clean-up. This role works closely with IT and other departments to ensure information within our systems is accurate, organized, and reliable.

Previous experience working in a Summerhill Market store would be a strong asset, as an understanding of store operations, products, pricing, merchandising, and how our systems are used at store level will help connect the data behind the scenes to day-to-day operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong computer skills and problem-solving abilities who is eager to learn. Extensive data experience is not required.

• Maintain accurate product, pricing, vendor, and other business data across company systems.
• Enter, update, review, and validate information to ensure data is complete, consistent, and accurate.
• Assist with new item setup, product changes, pricing updates, promotions, and other system updates.
• Regularly review data for errors, inconsistencies, duplicates, missing information, or other discrepancies and assist with corrections.
• Support ongoing data clean-up and system maintenance projects.
• Use Microsoft Excel to organize, review, compare, validate, and maintain data.
• Prepare spreadsheets, reports, trackers, and other data resources as required.
• Assist with recurring reporting and information requests from IT, Operations, stores, and other departments.
• Support the IT team with system updates, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and follow-up.
• Assist users with basic system and data-related questions and escalate more complex technical issues as required.
• Help investigate product, pricing, promotional, inventory, and system discrepancies reported by stores.
• Support and learn company systems, including Vusion, ECRS POS, WebOffice, Homesome, ERP platforms, and other business applications.
• Work with store teams to understand system issues and help identify practical solutions.
• Coordinate data and system changes with stores and other departments to ensure information is communicated and implemented accurately.
• Test changes and verify that information is displaying and functioning correctly at store level.
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, data procedures, and recurring tasks.
• Assist with data audits and quality checks to improve overall data integrity.
• Identify opportunities to improve data accuracy, processes, organization, and efficiency.
• Provide administrative and project support to the IT & Data team as required.
• Additional duties and cross-functional support as required.

• This is an entry-level position; extensive previous data experience is not required.
• Previous Summerhill Market store-level experience is a strong asset.
• Education in Data Analytics, Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field is an asset.
• Strong computer skills and confidence learning new software and technology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in understanding how and why things work.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with others.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Dedicated, dependable, curious, and willing to learn new systems, processes, and technology.
• Comfortable investigating issues, asking questions, and following problems through to resolution.
• Previous ERP, product data, reporting, database, or data-entry experience is an asset.
• Experience with Vusion, ECRS POS, WebOffice, and/or Homesome is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of grocery or retail operations, including products, pricing, inventory, promotions, and merchandising, is an asset.
