Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong communication skills and a solid understanding of computer networking, software troubleshooting, and help desk support.

Responsibilities

Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, software applications, and peripherals

  • Provide expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, conversions and file maintenance
  • Oversee systems development and enhancement and the integration of new systems with existing systems
  • Develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to IT staff and to end-users
  • Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services
  • Ensure cybersecurity measures are implemented and maintained, including system monitoring, patch management, antivirus, and firewall configurations
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and evaluate new solutions and implementations to ensure they meet business and system requirements
  • Manage IT inventory, including computers, servers, routers, switches, printers, and backup solutions
  • Manage servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment
  • Manage telecommunications infrastructure and development plans, projects, policies and procedures
  • Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years proven experience in IT Solutions
  • Microsoft Exchange Administration Experience
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including system security, threat detection, patch management, and endpoint protection.
  • External / Internal DNS management, Domain Management
  • Networking/Firewall/WiFi AP management experience
  • Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, MacOS experience
  • Desktop support & familiarity with ticketing systems
  • VOIP & PBX administration experience

Asset to have:

  • NetSuite administration experience
  • Dental software and/or healthcare experience, knowledge of PIPEDA/PHIPA
  • Word-press Website Management/Development Experience
  • Cloud backup knowledge & local backup experience
  • Cabling/wiring experience (Cat5/6, running cable, patching cable)
  • ITIL best practices experience
  • Asset management experience
  • License management experience
  • Experience with Fortinet, SonicWall, Ubiquiti, Cisco, routers/firewalls
  • Experience with Grand stream, Yeastar, Asterisk-based phone systems
