The AI Process Engineer will design, implement, and optimize AI-enabled solutions that improve product operations, internal workflows, and business efficiency. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify valuable use cases, develop scalable solutions, and establish responsible AI practices.
- Design, build, and maintain AI-powered tools, workflows, automations, and internal solutions that improve productivity and business outcomes.
- Partner with product, engineering, operations, support, and business teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities and translate needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop integrations between AI services, internal systems, and third-party platforms using APIs, scripting, and automation frameworks.
- Create AI-driven workflows supporting product operations, including research synthesis, customer feedback analysis, customer signal evaluation, and release support.
- Translate business challenges into technical implementations involving prompts, orchestration logic, data pipelines, integrations, and supporting applications.
- Establish and maintain responsible AI practices covering security, privacy, data handling, testing, monitoring, governance, and documentation.
- Evaluate emerging AI models, platforms, and tools to recommend solutions aligned with business requirements and technical architecture.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure reliable access to infrastructure, services, and data needed for AI solutions.
- Develop documentation, standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices that support long-term AI adoption.
- Troubleshoot and optimize AI workflows to improve reliability, performance, cost efficiency, and user experience.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and enablement support to teams adopting AI-powered tools.
- Support Agile team practices and contribute to continuous improvement across technical delivery processes.
The ideal candidate combines software engineering expertise, AI knowledge, and strong business communication skills. They should be comfortable working across teams, managing ambiguity, and developing secure AI solutions that deliver measurable operational value.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 5–8 years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, data engineering, machine learning engineering, solutions engineering, or a similar technical role.
- Experience building or supporting AI-enabled workflows, automation solutions, internal tools, or system integrations.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python or JavaScript.
- Experience working with APIs, integration patterns, structured and unstructured data, and technical automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with modern AI concepts, including large language models, prompt engineering, AI evaluation, and model/service integration.
- Experience using cloud platforms and developer tools to deploy, monitor, and maintain technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance speed, quality, security, and maintainability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience documenting workflows, technical solutions, standards, and operational processes.
- Preferred experience with workflow automation platforms, data pipelines, governance controls, experimentation, and AI operations.
- Experience supporting responsible AI practices, model evaluation, or AI adoption initiatives in a business environment is a plus.
- Background in product operations, product analytics, product strategy, or similar business-focused technical roles is preferred.
- Experience handling sensitive customer or regulated data; familiarity with GovRAMP, FedRAMP, or similar compliance frameworks is advantageous.
- Ability to design AI-first workflows rather than simply adding AI features to existing processes.
- Competitive salary range of approximately $119,100–$181,100, with an anticipated hiring range of $140,000–$145,000.
